This course explores the principles and processes for obtaining appropriate informed consent to meet legislative and duty of care obligations in outdoor and educational programs. Participants will learn what constitutes valid informed consent, how to communicate risks clearly and appropriately, and how to ensure participants and guardians can make well-informed decisions.
